Anna Cichecka, PCSA Analyst

Currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wroclaw. She holds a MA degree in International Relations at the University of Lower Silesia, Poland now PCAS Associate. She held a number of study visits to East, North and South Africa which gave her new experience and knowledge. Her research area are women's rights and their impact on the socio-political changes in and the access to education and training in African countries.
 

 

 

 

Michał Szczurek, PCSA Analyst

A development economist holding a Master of Advanced Studies diploma in International and Development Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), Belgium, and Master diploma in International Relations from the University of Wroclaw, Poland. Previously he was working for the European Commission Directorate- General for Trade and for the European Parliament. Currently in Kampala, Uganda, he works for Mango Fund, an impact investment fund building a strong SMEs sector in East Africa. Since 2012 Michal has been working for the Polish Centre for African Studies. His research focus is development economics, economic development, private sector development and development aid.

 

 

Daniel Dyduk, PCSA Junior Analyst

Currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Social Scences of the University of Wrocław. He holds an MA degree in International Relations at the University of Wrocław as well as BA in National Security at the same Alma Mater. In his scientific work he concentrates mainly on political, economical and social-cultural issues related directly to the Arab-populated and islam-dominated region of North Africa. His research also concerns the impact of terrorism and religious fundamentalism on a process of building/dismantling the state in Africa, the geopolitical aspects of relations between Arabic regions and Sub-Saharan Africa, and also the question of inter ethnic communication and tensions in the Sahel region.

 

 

Marcin Koziński (Józwiak), PCSA Junior Analyst

An English teacher and a graduate in the field of International Relations at the University of Wroclaw, Poland. In the Polish Centre for African Studies he works as a Junior Analyst. His research focuses mainly on issues of ecology and health in the Great Lakes region.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Urszula Róg, PCSA Junior Analyst

A PhD candidate at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University , Kraków, Poland. She holds a BA degree in political science at the University of Rzeszów, Poland. She holds a MA in Cultural Studies, with a specialization in ethnic relations and international migration at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her research deals with the issues of ethnicity and its impact on the structure of state and society, ethnic conflicts, genocide and post-conflict reconstruction.

 

 

 

 

Monika Różalska, PCSA Junior Analyst

Currently a PhD student at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. She holds MA degree in international relations at the University of Łódź, Poland. She graduated from postgraduate studies in Global Development and Public International Law at the University of Warsaw and the ISP Academy of Postgraduate Studies in the field of political science. She was a guest speaker in a number of scientific conferences on international relations, especially the policy of the United States, China and African countries. Her research concerns the analysis of African- American and African- Chinese relations and developmental problems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
